Not a poem as such but something that I read years ago and have remembered - not sure where it originated:

Ever had one of those days
Where you find yourself
Sitting on the edge of the bed,
With one shoe off
And one shoe on,
Trying to figure out
If you're going to bed
Or getting up??!!

Not without the help of lots of alcohol!!!!

Now that sums up my life in a nutshell
