Wrote this poem for all the staff at our son's school. they have been really marvellous over five very hard years that have included an extemely late diagnosis of ADHD which had led to ODD and SA, depression, fire-starting and self-harming.

They deserve all the praise in the world for what they have done to help our son, and all the youngsters who let them know their problems. It's a blooming hard world out there for children.

We’re writing this to you ‘cos you deserve congratulations
For seeing our son Josh through all his trials and tribulations.
We know it’s not been easy but the outcome has been good
So pat each other on the back. Really, you know you should!
The difficulties were not small and frequently were fateful,
So let us say to all of you we are sincerely grateful.
Mr Morris, Mrs Webb, receptionists one and all,
Each Matron that has cared for him, the order has been tall.
Mrs Roberts, Mr Jim, you’ve helped him stay in school.
Miss Curtis, you’ve been great (and he’s still waiting for that stool!)
You’ve ALL been really super and we thank you dearly, but
Very, very special thanks go to Angela Nutt.
Dear Angela we praise you from the bottom of our heart
For getting Josh through five years there, you’ve played a sterling part.
We cannot say in words how much you mean to Josh and us.
Having you as PSM really was a major plus.
All of you staff at Priestlands, you deserve this summer break.
Each opportunity to relax make sure that you take.
So put your feet up, take your ease, don’t cry when you remember
That our little daughter Jessie will be with you from September!

What a day yesterday! Despite not getting quite the grades he was predicted, Josh has been accepted for the place he was offered at music college!

All systems go for the relocation now!
