and there is noooo way the clippers are going anywhere near her...er ever

Weeeeeellllll...you know i said that (in la-*test*-('") piccy thread of them) ph34r.gif
I decided i just had to go to the local groomers today for her to have a look and to tell me what she thinks ...she said clip. Ive tried my best with meggymoos coat but its soooo blown and started to look a right old state so i agreed!!

Guys my question is how can i keep on top of this now with out having to clip or am i always gonna have to clip as the last owners (before we adopted her) have seemed to? Would the coat king do anything at all for her..or even the furminator. Im really unconfident about keeping meggys coat trim as when ive tried i think ive done a right naff job of it and its just so fly away and grows out rather than down!

Mary how do deal with mistys coat?

Sorry if im just repeating other threads rolleyes.gif

Now I wouldn't perhaps have gone so tight with the clip ohmy.gif but they might have had to do it because she had such a curly coat but they seem to have done a nice job and I think she looks fab meself biggrin.gif If she were mine Rachel I would clip her again in about 6 weeks time, follow the lines the groomer has kept to and use a number 2 comb on the blade if you have bog standard pet clippers, this way you won't go so tight to the skin and it won't be such a shock to see so much hair come off but Mary knows more than me cos she's a professional so over to you Mary biggrin.gif

Oh and your groomer was right she certainly did need a clip laugh.gif

definately needed a clip, now if you are going to do this yourself, here we go..... all cockers are clipped this way ,the head is clipped using a no7F blade against the growth of the hair that is the full head, the neck and body are clipped following the growth, again using the no7F blade, his blade is used with Oster and Laube cluippers, I can't advise on other cliuppers. If youi want me to send you the detailed instructions, let me kno

Ouh Mary thankyou...those detailed instructions would be fab if you could PM them biggrin.gif
