Hi All
Can anyone recommend 'springer proof' dog beds - preferably rectangular. At the moment we have 2 oval dog beds in the corner of the dining room. They take up space and the washing involved is worse than the kids! - We also need the beds for camping expeditions.
I wondered about Tuffies or Kurada (saw both of these after doing a google search). Please advise

I've got a tuffie bed and it's great. I wasn't sure about buying one but bit the bullet last year and it's still going strong. I do put a bit of vet bed over it though as I don't think it is the nicest of materials for them to lay on.

My deerhound has a Kudos Dog Sack and my brittany has a Kudos Lounger. Freddy does not deign to use dog beds as he feels that either he can use theirs, mine or the sofa at whim so I didn't bother paying all the money. I feel they are well worth the price and chose the commercial fabric option. Puppy will have one when he is through teething.

Ooo err - Yorkshire cheapskate here wink.gif

I cut up old duvets (not feather) and make covers for them. Sling them in the washing machine regularly and tumble dry. Have several all over the house. However they still prefer the leather sofa if they can beat me to it ph34r.gif laugh.gif

Same as Val - Single Duvets (synthetic fibre) - cheapies from Tesco are good! folded in half and inserted into covers.

Both wash and dry well and easily and the dogs love 'em!

Thanks to everyone for all your advice - I have ordered two dog sacks from Kudos (I think they will be good for camping holidays).
Have to admit cheap duvets is a brilliant idea - I think I'm going to get one for the car and adapt one of the kids old waterproof sheets as a cover.

Same here, I find this the best option and cheapest, in fact it's the only beds my dogs haven't wanted to chew and they wash up brilliant, I also buy the cheepies from Tesco! smile.gif

The duvet idea is also a fantastic idea for pooooopie crates as we have found them so easy to wash smile.gif

I also have a huge one for the back of my car with a waterproof cover ideal for muddy wet springies - thanks S wink.gif
