I can get Ollie now to lay down and then put a treat on each paw. He doesnt eat them until i say "go on then" I am going to video it and put it on here cause i think he is soooo clever an he will perform this to anyone willing to watch.

I can put stuff on the floor and she will leave it, so i will have to try it on her paw. Can't wait to see the video

Fippas will do this as well, so I tried to progress to put a treat on her nose, but she won't have this nonsense

I used to have a hound (nice long nose) who could balance a treat on his nose and when you said "take it" he flipped it up and caught it as it came down!

My moms little male dog does the nose trick... he can't flip it cause his nose is sooo small, but she was a meany and -*test*-('")ed how long he'd do it and he sat there almost shaking for 2 mins before she finnaly said ok.

how do train them stuff I want to train all 4 of my dogs one springer spainiel, cocker spaniel.collie boxer.and a wolf hound?

all my dogs are on here some were try findin them ziggy suki cookie and bones all loved by me

Hi Caleb, To teach them to eat things from their paws etc, you first have to teach them the "leave" command. Start off with a tasty treat in a clenched fist. Your dog will sniff and may even try to nuzzle the treat out of your hand, but don't let them have it! As soon as your dog moves his nose away say "leave", open your hand and say "take it" and let them have the treat, do this a couple of times, then do it but as soon as they sniff tell them to leave (hopefully they should back off) as soon as they do you can give it to them but tell them to "take it". Once they got the hang of this keep your hand open with a treat in the palm, tell them to leave - if they try take the treat close your hand up tight and tell them to leave. Once they realise what they have to do you can put the treat on the floor etc and increase the amount of time you make them wait before you tell them to take it.


Just remember for the command of leave to work well it is important to tell them to take it

Mine can do the nose trick.. don't catch it unless its a prawn cracker. I can put food on the tops of their paws and say ...leave......go on then........i'm gonna try the bottoms of paws but i don't hold out much hope.
