In the last couple of weeks Bella has started to chew her dew claws when lying on the couch in the evenings. As she chews both of them I assume there is nothing specifically wrong with one of them. Apart from the dreadful noise I am wondering why she might be doing this now(she is 1 yr old) and if she can hurt herself. Should she go to the vet to have them looked at or is this NORMAL springer behaviour?

ours do that think its normal so dont worry all you need to do is ensue they dont get too long
