I have made the decision to clip Chelseas coat as it is so fluffy and long, and given her lifestyle i think she would dry off quicker and it would be easier for me to manage. I've had a word with her and shes very excited about her new hair do. biggrin.gif
Ben thinks its hilarious and wants her to have a purple rinse too. laugh.gif

So, U]i would value everyones opinions on types of clippers [/U]etc, I need value for money, new or second hand. The best place to get blades sharpened, etc etc. I dont need them like 'tomorrow' so i could save up a bit. Thanks all, rainie xx

I use a pair of 30 year old Wahls. A local vet supply store sharpens the blades. The only problem is it is hard to get replacement blades.

Recently, I purchased a cheap cordless Wahl to get me by. Got them at Walmart for $44. They work great. I want to buy a professional grade set and get some titanium or ceramic blades. That will run me around $160. For now the cheapies work fine. The titanium and ceramic blade stay sharp a lot longer. I've got three boys so I need something like that. Cost around $16 to get them sharpened. I'm thinking of getting my own sharpening machine.

Why Wahl? Made in the USA, good service and fair price. I'm sure there are other brands of equal quality. Some not available here.

I order from a groomer's supply catelog.
