Having a foster who has had tummy trouble in kennels I am not keen to swap his diet at the mo. (Ok there is a plan for me to become a failed fosterer but even so it is not fair to Chico to swap him even more if at the end of the day as paws get beneath table he or my existing boys find they can't get on.)
Regardless I offered him a chicken wing yesterday which he clearly had no idea about, he played with it, chomped it a bit then left it. Chase tidied up

.
This morning I threw Chase some wings while passing with Chico's bowl of JWB - a determined ESS ate 2 chick wings at speed while following his bowl. I do hasten to add that Chase has good food manners and although Chico is skinny and food motivated he is not a food guarder and all the boys take treats nicely in close proximity. Having Freddy as food guarder (and even 5 yrs down the line he manages his and others feeding if allowed, he only eats with Brice) I would not risk food being a catalyst for a scrap but I was confident the two boys would be ok, and they were. It certainly gave Chico the idea to scoff wing quick
