ohmy.gif awww he is lovely! And your description of him was word for word how I would have described my Archie when I first got him, age, bounciness, lack of training, being fed Bakers, all of it!

To anyone thinking that little Charlie sounds like a handful, then let me throw some reassurance into the ring, with a lot of love and patience dogs like him that have had no real learning or path to follow early in life - such with the mouthing etc - then they can and will make wonderful family pets...

My Archie is now 3 and although am still working on the jumping around people and the giddiness sometimes, he is a darling of a dog... he is so eager to learn and please that training is fun and not hard work, the mouthing can be overcome, and using some relaxtion techniques meant that now I can help him relax too and not run around at 150% hyper speed all the time (now it's just 110% laugh.gif )...

If I didn't have Sonny who wouldn't tolerate another young whipper snapper, then Charlie would be on his way here laugh.gif biggrin.gif

Good Luck little fella! Selina, I hope you find the right home for him first time, my Archie had 3 homes before he was a year old just cos of his 'bounciness' mad.gif sad.gif

YE & THATS PROBLE WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO THAT POOR SOUL WONT GET THE 5 STAR HOME LIKE IV OFFERD

All of the rescues on here work very hard to ensure they find the right type of homes for dogs that come into their care . . comments like this are just not helpful at all sad.gif

Still, there are plenty of dogs on freeads that you could offer a home to and breed from.

Not half as aggressive as the silly and rude PM's I've had to read today, still someone obviously has a bee in there bonnet and wants to annoy someone, how sad, sad.gif

ITS THE ONLINE EQUIVALENT OF SHOUTING mad.gif

Anyone who genuinely has the best interest of this little dog at heart will be delighted that he has found the right home. I imagine that that'll be 99.9% of our current membership then. Ignore the sour grapes, they just make for a lot of whine.

IF U ALL THINK IM BEING NASTY THEN IM SORRY IM NOT LIKE THAT. BUT I SAY ONES AGAIN SORRY TO ALL IV OFFENDED

angel- 09-03-2008
Hi Darren and everyone else, Im slightly confused - i don't normally get involved in this type of chat, what do you mean by "that dog could be out of good working stock lol no good now"?

You said Bonny is your baby, which is really lovely but if for some reason she couldn't work would you love her any less? If for some reason you couldn't work your dogs any more would that make you a bad owner? I don't think so as you seem truly smitten with Bonny.

There are many dogs that i would love to give a home to, but we just have to accept that it their welfare and happiness that is the priority and not ours

There are may people on this forum who spend their all their time rescuing springers - i just think its a little bit sad that you have taken this so personally. this is such a friendly forum with many really knowledgable people (many of whom work their dogs).

Take a deep breath and start they day again tomorrow, you have a gorgeous helathy pup in Bonny - everyone has their off days

Best wishes
Sam and Angel
