out walking with the girls tonight we met a couple with a gorg 3 month old springer pup called Fudge.
A pure bundle of mischief
Dottie was in heaven and just wanted to play chase
Cassie the Boss lady who doesn't like any dogs sniffing /jumping/running around her I can honestly say I was a bit worried about. Obv this was a pup and I didn't want it to have any bad exp.
I really didn't need to be worried cassie did give her a few telling off but they were very soft and within a few mins my girl was play bowing and playing chase with Fudge.
Her owners were happy with everything and this helps they just let the dogs get on with doing their own thing.
We were chatting for about 20 mins whilst the dogs were playing ( I was secretly thinking how I could steal Fudge )
All of a sudden 4 English sheepdogs came running into the field.They headed straight for us and the little springer pup froze she didn't need to worry though because cassie was in there before they got any where near her and saw them off. No real aggression just dog talk and they understood. Fudges owners wanted to take cassie home with them lol I told them they had more chance of winning the lottery
Moral of this story
I will never worry about cassie and how she reacts to other dogs.
She hates dogs with bad manners and will tell them off
A bit like me really I dont care much for humans with bad manners

aw bless her! good on ya cassie! my bronte is like your cassie, wont stand for bad manners at all! she doesnt really like puppies either, but was play bowing with one a couple of weeks ago, so i was really chuffed!

Sounds like i could have done with having Cassie with us last weekend, bless her.

I've been reading a lot on here about letting the dogs sort it themselves (obviously with a close eye) and it's been working in our house

Well done Cassie - I know how you feel - Missy has a 'reputation' with other dogs, but she protects Bonnie from Barney very dilligently.
