Who says Shropshire is flat!

My OH loves this walk when he wants his time out with Paddy. A little bit too much of a challenge for me (I am so unfit!) but he is a born hill walker and the Caradoc is a hill! (And not to be mistaken for the Caradog north of Bala Lake)

The Caradoc is another iron age hill fort and again rises up out of the Shropshire plains along side the A49 and the Stretton Hills.

The views on the way up and at the top are amazing, stretching for miles.

There are sheep on these hills but this shouldn't hamper a good walk with the springy smile.gif

Here are some taken by OH's fair hand.....

On the way up (although Paddy has already done it and is on the way down ....again laugh.gif )

Did I say it was not too steep!!! laugh.gif

And, if you prefer a more gentle walk, go across the A49 and up into the Stretton Hills. Believe it or not someone on the top of the highest one has put a golf course on there laugh.gif laugh.gif

I had no idea that Shropshire was this hilly until today when we took Rosie to Church Stretton and walked on the Long Mynd. It was beautiful (but a bit cold!!!). Will definately be going again.
