I live in the Balloch West Dunbartonshire area near Loch Lomond and have just started to consider owning a springer spaniel. Would anybody be able to advise the most reliable and reputable dealers within this area?

It's a breeder you're looking for gary, don't touch any litter where you can't see the mother and preferably both parents of the puppies. Is it a puppy you want, there's a lot of work involved with puppies.

Maybe a young adult rescue dog which would suit you better there are always plenty looking for rehomes on here. I would suggest you contact a rescue organisation first and ask whether you would meet their criteria for rehoming one of their dogs and possibly get your homecheck done first. A homecheck would be a prerequisite of any reputable breeder or rescue, before offering you one of their pups/dogs. Hope this helps, but someone more knowledgeable will be along to help you further.
