Hi. Can anyone let me know what the best way is to introduce our new puppy Lola (we get her in October) to our cat - without too much stress on our poor moggy (who was diagnosed on Saturday with insulin dependent diabetes and we are moving house on Friday) ??? Oh, and there is the rabbit as well.

there will be peeps along with some good advice and my advice is to do it sooner rather than later - we didnt introduce Ruby to our old cat cause we were worried about the cat - now Ruby chases her!!! in hindsight we should have let them sort it out when Rubes was little

would at first let the cat have a safe place to go that the puppy cant get to - with an easy escape route. then let the cat have her free rein so to speak to introduce herself. the cat if she wants to be will be boss, or keep away - dont stress too much over it, just make sure she has an escape route - if she gets backed into a corner and is scared a cats claw can do a lot of damage...
