I have loads of leatherwork that I will never use again down at the yard. It is all good English leather. There are 3 or 4 saddles with broken trees but the seat and flap leather is good. I have drawers of leather bits and bobs that could be made into jewellery or dog collars. It is just an idea. I didn't know if someone might be interested in making things and selling them for springer rescue or know of someone that would do this.

sounds like a great opportunity for someone sadly I don't know any leather crafters.
There's a guy on TRPD that makes the most stunning leather collars and leads for them to sell to help rescues, I don't know if they would be able to use it?

My daughter trained at Cordwainers College in London back in the 80's; she used to make handbags, shoes, keyrings, collars etc. She works in a furniture shop restoring leather furniture now and I don't know if she makes the handcrafted goods anymore. I could ask her, if TRPD can't use it.

She made her own full length, soft, ivory coloured SUEDE wedding dress with a punched filigree pattern and silk lining, absolutely gorgeous.

I too have a lot of leather which could be used if Pooelys gets used up. No saddles but lots of bridles.

Pooley 1, what a fantastic idea.
