Whilst i was at the butchers today he gave me a hugh meaty bone for 50p. I got it home and thought "what am i supposed to do with it". Surely it is too big to give him in one go!!

Is it a big marrow bone?

We give Daisy these to chew the meat off them and have a bit of a dig at the marrow, but supervised times only in case she chips a tooth. Then when she's chewed off the juicy outside bits I take it off her.

It could be a knuckle bone unsure.gif . Only good for recreational chewing not for feeding. He will enjoy gnawing the meat off, which is food of course but otherwise...

I never gave recreational bones, not that's it's wrong (although they might be too hard for the teeth and they can chip apparently), but never came across one.

Edited...no need to apologise for asking smile.gif smile.gif

i think he said it was beef.
My butcher thought i was a bit of a novelty as he had never had anyone in asking for so much for there dog.
I did a bit of carefree flirting to get a better price and he chopped all the yucky stuff up for me!!
