The Springer is a wonderful breed; with character in spades
They’re merry, quick and biddable
It’s the owners who’re deranged!
The Springer loves to play and work and everything’s a game
From chasing, flushing, swimming
Their owners are insane!
Not just a wagging tail greets us from
our furry friend,
But the whole back end joins in
For his owners “round the bend!”
With soulful eyes and droopy ears that say “don’t call me bad!”
How can you tell him off? You see
It’s his owners who’re quite mad!
When Springer owner sees another they start to go all dotty
And feel the need to say “hello”
It’s the owners that are potty!
“That’s not fair!” I hear you cry – “We can’t be that delirious”!
Remember that when next you laugh
(But all around are serious!)
So what we needed was a place where owners sit and chat
About their Spring and how sometimes
they wished he was a cat!
How when he’d found that pile of poo - Just asking to be laid in
Or that great big muddy puddle
Just begging to be played in!
Packed to the gills with great advice and friends who like to share
We found our little niche my friends
Can’t wait to see you there...
...Where now we train with lure and click (And even pheasant wing)
But sometimes, if the truth be told
Just cry out “
It’s a Spring Thing!”
