but still as keen as anything.

Young Mugi wink.gif has not been training much this last few months, he worked so hard last season (he first ever) so we have just done bits of training to keep him fit. He can't retrieve dummies any longer (he only learned a year ago and was never totally keen) cos he has lost critical teeth unsure.gif .

Today I defrosted him a partridge and this is the result.

Good on you Mugi. I love the way the older boys and ladies show the young ones how it is done. Max on wheels (9 years old) trains with the dummy every few days, on or off wheels! He has never worked as a gun dog but adores it and would have a been a great flushing dog if his poor hips hadn't failed him. Mind you, not such a good retriever as he is brillliant at the pick up and return just so so keen on the release! And you have to be quick when he does 'dead' - my right forefinger is -*test*-('")imony to his lightening speed if he fancies it back! Compared to our young ones he is a master and a joy to watch - no wonder he put so many baddies away finding their illegal drugs staches. Keep up the good work Mugi life in the old dogs is such a joy!
